Hey all our kindred spirits!
Dan and Dave here with a belated blog update, it's been quite the summer.
So, obviously the big cliffhanger from our last blog was, yes indeed we did get #1 on the South Coast Music Chart with Addicted to You for which we are very grateful for all your votes!
We had a fantastic gig at the Sun Inn back in August, Andy couldn't make the gig due to prior commitments so the lovely Phil Legaspi sat in on the pots and pans, always great to hear another musicians perspective on our songs!
September was where the fun really began though, kicking off with our final full band gig at our spiritual home of FuBar on the 6th! It was rammed, a birthday party in full flow thanks to Hugh and his merry band of revellers! I don't think we've quite gotten over that, even now (4 weeks later!)
We got a fantastic opportunity to play at Warrior Festival the day after, a wonderful day out for everyone and top sound!
The Waverley Beer, Poetry and Music Festival came the week after which is always a highlight for us. We were the penultimate band on the Sunday night, pulling out our very best to a captivated crowd, there may have been a few beers consumed as well as it was the last gig our very dear friends Mike and Kaz got to see as island residents before moving to Wales (Mike even cut off his hair for charity, raising £825!!) we miss them both!
We rounded off our amazing little summer with a headline performance at Strings tagging our wonderful friends “The Damien Paul Band” as openers. We all had a blast, for those in the know, Simon was involved in the recording of our debut EP and all of the band have been very instrumental in bringing us along and developing our style.
Which brings us to what happens next.
Its a bit quiet between now and December (there's a couple of gigs lined up!) so we thought we'd finally get around to finishing that album that you've all been waiting for. Shaun is primed and ready and we've got a few practice sessions booked to get us in the groove! So, keep your eyes peeled and those ears pricked on any upcoming releases!
I think that covers it all for now. We thank you immensely for the support and love you give us. We certainly love you all too!
Kindred Found!
