Hello, Kindred Spirits!
Dan and Dave here, letting you all know what we've been up to during a pretty quiet period. Well, it hasn't been quiet for us, as we've been back in the studio with the wonderful Shaun working on completing the debut album. It's exciting times, and even though we love nothing as much as performing live, we're also really keen to get the album finished hopefully in time for release early next year.
Sadly September was the last Moonshine open mic at FUBAR, but we are really pleased to say that we have found a new home at Coburgs. Our debut open mic (now the last Wednesday of every month) was a roaring success, and we look forward to the next one, which will be the 26th November. Hope to see you there!
Halloween night saw another first, as Dan and Dave stepped in to cover for a poorly Corrine at Kusina Restobar in Newport, where we were warmly welcomed by Chris and Rick and a lovely night was had by all. They also very kindly fed us at the end of the night, and to say that we recommend their food is an understatement!
Finally for this month's blog we want to mention the hairy caterpillar currently perched on Dave's top lip…that's right, it's Movember time again! This year Dave is upping the ante and also giving up alcohol for the month, following Dan's inspiring Stoptober achievement. If you'd like to support Dave's effort to raise awareness for men's health, you can do so here: https://movember.com/m/14857784?mc=78
That's all for now, hope to see you all soon!
